I have a 1995 5.0 2WD with 155,000 miles on it and I am getting about 15MPG (mainly highway miles). But I usually run well over the speed limit. Back when the truck had fewer miles and I wasn't in that much of a hurry, I could usually get 18MPG on the highway.

I have a 95 5.0 Supercab 4x4 short bed with 104,000 miles, and I get around 10-15 miles per gallon depending on how I drive.

Thumbs up

I ran a 150mi trip going 70mph (not smart) and got 16.5mpg with my mods (4.10:1 gears are the biggie against economy), if I had a better cam or slowed down I'd have picked up easily a mile or mile and a half.

These trucks like to cruise 55-65mph max for economy, any faster and you're wasting fuel like no other.
