Angry vibration

On my 92' f-150 351v8 I have this anoying vibration at 70mph and higher. Heres the catch, the vibration comes and goes It comes through the seats and the capton chair on the other side shakes like he#*! The steering wheel also shakes, and most of all the driver side door pannel shakes so bad that I have to tighten the screws once a week. You can be driveing down the road at 70/75 and it would be smooth and all of a sudden shutter time for about 6 to 10 miles and then smooth for a mile or two ex.
I have ballanced the tires twice, and even changed them. I found that one of the drive shafts were bent and had them both re-ballanced and a new thrust bearing as well! drives better but still same problem.
I also took it to three different trans shops thinking maybe the tourq converter was bad and they all said the trans is in remarkible shape. Ive changed the cap, rotor, plugs, wires and coil still no change and yes the TPS also. there is no codes eather. to make a long story short this is driveing me crazy and I would like any ones imput or advise It would be greatly appreciated.

One of the driveshaft u-joint's may be binding. My dodge truck did that for awhile, it would only act up after about 5 miles of high speed driving (80mph and up). Being that i'm to cheap to spend $10 to fix a dodge i took the u-joint out and put some high temp bearing grease in the caps and put it back in. That was about a year ago and the vibration still hasn't come back.

The u-joints were done when the driveshafts were ballanced last month the vibration was there before and is still there , THanks for the input though!

I have a simialr vibration, mine is comming from the pinion in the rear end. My pinion bearing is shot and I have a lot of slack in it. I am planning on a complete rear-end rebuild in a few months so I am just putting up with it til I can get to it. Might wanna check it, could be the same for you.

You might want to check your front hubs. My '92 pulled a stunt like that a few months after I got it. Jacked it up and couldn't get any shake out of the wheels, so I figured it was somewhere else. By the time I did figured out what was causing it I had ruined the spindle and the hub. About a $500 fix if you by from the dealer (only place to get the then), I lucked out and matched the parts up at a junk yard for $90.

If you jack up the rear end, both tires off the ground and grab the pinion and push/pull there should be no slack. Also grab the tire while still jacked up off the ground and turn it back and forth to feel how much slack there is is the pinion/ring gear. To pay someone for a rebuild on an 8.8,new ring and pinion, bearings, shims, axle bearings, seals, etc is around $650 here.
