Where's My Computer?

I have a 1995 F150 4.9L I6 and can't figure out where my darn computer is. I don't see anything that looks anything like the pictures I see for truck computers. Can anyone with a similar truck tell me where to look and maybe what to look for?

Look on the driver's side of the engine compartment firewall, right next to the fender, you will see the harness plug. There are two studs with nuts that hold the ECU in place.

Do you mean that little box not much bigger than my two fingers that looks like it's surrounded by a wanna-be heatsink? The one where if I unplug the connector from it, everything appears alright until I try to start the truck and it won't do anything but run the starter? I guess I can't add a chip, can I re-program that wannabe CPU? What type is it? No wonder I couldn't find it; it doesn't look anything like a control module.

What you are looking for I believe is behind the kick panel on the driver side by the e-brake.

I think I found exactly what Pony described in the engine compartment. It just doesn't look very technologically advanced.

You CANT see the computor from the engine compartment. Just the plug is all you can see. The actual computor is inside the cab, but you have to unplug the harness and pull it out from the engine compartment. I realize that probably dosent make any sense, but when you find it -It will.

Okay, there is a much bigger item also attached to the firewall using two studs. It has a lot of wires going into a green connector and they are covered by a little black plastic cover. The computer must be removed from the engine compartment and lives pretty much in the firewall area so it cannot be seen from inside the cab. Does this sound better? Does anyone know what 'type' of computer it is so I can look for programming options? Anyway I can tell? Thanks guys, the location of my computer has alluded me for some time.

Thanks for the photo. I'm certain I've got it now. I'm hesitane to get a superchip because I have a manual transmission and am not conviced I'd get much benefit from it. I'm also not confident my I6 is going to see much improvement.
