Question Hey beastie!

do you have any pics of your headers installed? I looked in your gallery and didnt see any. I am thinking about getting a set and am trying to figure out how i want to run the exhaust from the collectors.

I have a few pics in my gallery on the OTHER SITE. But if you want, tomorrow during the day I'll go snap some detailed photos.

Ill go check out the OTHER SITE and see what youve got. I need to see where the collectors are so i can figure out if i can do what im thinking. I want to do pretty much the same as your exhaust, but i have a 4x4 so that throws a twist to it plus im going to keep my dual 3" pipes over the axle.

I got real busy today so I couldnt take any pics, but tell me is the pics from the other site are not good enough and you want so better onec, and if so just tell me exactly what you want pics of. The collectors hand down like I guess even with the middle of the tranny pan, then I have them coming up over the tranny crossmember and then the drivers side snakes across right under the front mosy U-Joint.

Cool.....I was thinking about your transfer case, but I dont think it will be too hard to route them around it. Good luck and tell me how it goes.

Im trying to figure out a way to make it so i can remove the tranny without cutting the pipes, cause i seem to go through a lot of clutches. I need some sort of disconnect.

If you ru na setup like mine, just get the shop or whatever to put some kind of flange before the cats or the X-pipe or whatever and when you need to drop your tranny, you cna unbolt the collectors and wherever you put those flanges and then you would not have anything in the way. I guess it would essentially be the mid pipes. Do you understand what I'm saying lol

yah, thats what im thinking, but i just dont like the idea of more gaskets, so im looking for a ball and socket type thing, kinda like stock manifolds ya know? The muffler i want to go with is a magnaflow dual in dual out that has the X pipe built in. no cats of course!

Nice choice on the muffler, I am sure you will like it alot. I can understand what you mean about not wanting alot of seems and needing more gaskets and stuff. I already have enough leaks that drive me crazy....but they are at the heads, I just need to retorque the bolts. Good luck, hey if you need any more help or ideas....you can IM me on AIM - Beastie5L or call my cell, if you want to I'll give you the number. Good Luck

My boss has a Magnaflow on his 4.2 and i really like the tone. the guy I talked to at a muffler shop said that a flowmaster would sound better (louder) but everybody has those now and i think the magnaflow design is better. leaks drive me crazy too! the whole reason for this is because my current setup has so many leaks. I cant really afford to do this right this minute cause of all the cash i dropped on the motor, but it for sure is next. I think you should try some different gaskets, I tried mr. gasket copperseals and hated them, would only seal for a few minutes, then you had to re torque them. now i have mr. gasket ultra seals and after a few heat cycles they are good, lasted me over a year and were still going strong with out ever tightening them and i dont have locking bolts like you do either.

thanks for the help man!
