Anyone w/ a Ford Mass Air coversion kit?????

Hey guys,
I just need to know if anyone with the Ford MAF conversion kit had the part # for the injector plugs intended for the stock injector harness? They kind of act like a butt-plug. I guess it's good for preventing corrosion.
Or if anyone else has any ideas for a replacement part....I'm all ears

Thanks,
Jerry D

You should be able to go to any junk yard and find these plugs on just about any fuel injected ford. Up until recently,t hey have all used the same style of injector plug . I would take the whole injector harness to minimize splicing. Don't worry if you break a few of the plastic clips off, they work just fine without them. I've been running them without clips on mustangs for years.

If you are talking about the grey colored "dummy" plugs that come with the kit and go in the stock harness after you install the overlay harness, I have the whole set, because I combined the overlay into the stock harness. I didn't like the idea of all that spaghetti, so it looks stock now. I had to change the firing order anyway, so while I had it all apart, I put everything back together as one in single corrugated tubing. I don't think it matters if you leave the old plugs open because they are dead after you plug in the overlay harness anyway.

Fastpony,
Yes, those are the ones (dummy plugs) when i bought my Ford kit they came with the wrong ones. And Ford has been jerking me around ever since.

You say you have a whole set!!!!!!!:bows:
Would you be willing to sell them?
Just name the price.

Thanks,
Jerry D.:

Here's a pic of the dummy plugs that I need. A friend of mine from another site took these pics for me.

If I can find them in the mess on my work bench, I could send them to you, but again, I don't think you even need them. Are you experiencing some problem with them out??? They should be dead after the overlay harness is pluged in because the old plug gets bypassed.

No problems at all. (knock on wood)
I just want to do what the directions for the mass-air conversion kit say to do. I know it might be overkill........but after the fiasco with the last harness, I just want to get it right.
Shoot me an email when you find them.

Thanks again.

Sorry dlvdog,

Been so busy and I haven't found them yet. I know they are in one of the "hundred" part boxes I have sitting in the garage or on the bench. As soon as I find them, I'll give you a shout.

When i swapped my lightning to mass air I just ziptied the old wires out of the way. The old injector harness isnt going to have any juice going through it anymore. I knoe some that have cut the old plugs off or removed the from the harness anr ran the new ones in thier place.

You only need them if you plan on swapping back to speed density. Mine are still there because Im too lazy to do anything about them.

I hear ya!
It just bugs the HELL out of me when I see those injector plugs laying out there.

FastPony,
Any luck finding those dummy plugs?
You are my last hope here.
