Chrome Grille Surround

http://www.sterlingrun.com/temp/surround1.JPG

I've changed my grille surround to a DSG to better match my black headlights, so I thought someone might want my chrome surround.

It is off my '08 with 8K miles - perfect shape. I removed it successfully without breaking any tabs on the surround.

Selling for $40 plus shipping.

Now the bad news about shipping - I live in the boonies, and have no access to UPS or FEDEX for shipping, so I am limited to USPS.

You can go to usps.com to use the calculator to see the shipping rate.

Shipping from zip 15832
Package weight 5lbs
Package length 48"
Package width 19"
Package height 3"

I will only ship it Priority Mail - no Parcel Post.

I still have the box that my DSG surround came in - foam lined so it will be protected from damage.

Another alternative is I travel through PA, NY, CT, and MA everyday. If you live along I80, I81, or I84, you could meet me along my route.

Stormtech. How were you able to remove the surround without breaking the tabs? I want to take my off so I can trade with a friend because my grille is broke behind the overlay. Thanks.

Well, this is how I did it - don't know if it is the right way, but it worked for me.

I used my wife's hair dryer, and heated up the plastic tabs on the grille that hold down the tabs of the surround. I then used 2 small flat screwdrivers - bent the grille tabs above the surround tabs to the right or left, then pryed up on the surround tabs and slowly worked them out.
I went real slow, and actually had to work 2 of 3 tabs at the same time to gently work the surround off. Started at one corner, and slowly worked my way around.

Hope I explained it properly, and hope that helps!

As far as I know, you can't buy just the surround from Ford - comes with the grille.
