Wink A little Trail Cam Photoshopping.

So, I was bored the other night. I was looking thru some of my trail cam photos when I had a thought. I wonder just how big some of these deer really are. Sometimes it's really hard to tell unless you have something to reference from. So, I took a few from a steady cam and transposed a few things together to come up with these.......

The first one is my sister and brother-in-law putting corn in the feeder, the second one is me walking away from the camera, the last one is me checking out the range of the camera...

The deer are nice, but Bigfoot is downright scary!

So you're the point of reference?

How big are your deer compared to PA deer? I'd figure about the same size, but they kinda look like our scrawny-a$$ Texas deer. I swear ours are anorexic

Wink

Average doe is in the 100-110 lb. range. These are actually the smaller deer. Two of the shots were from last April right after the winter. When I have a little time I'm gonna do some more with a couple larger deer. Oh, that's Thundersquatch by the way

I need a point of reference for how big you are. Mind holding a banana?

Cool

Well, my doctor told me to eat more fruit. And you know what they say?, Size doesn't matter . Those are young deer. And they are small. These are a little better.......

A friend of mine from the Houston Area is married to a woman from MN the first time he came home with a trophy TX buck his wife said there should be a law against shooting baby deer in TX. The only time I went hunting when down there I could not bring myself to shoot a scrawny dog with antlers LOL.

It really is embarrassing. I mean, I know we haven't had enough rain for a while, but jeez! They must not have anything to eat. And now I'm so used to them that I'd probably mistake a proper deer for an elk And an elk for a moose, and a moose for some prehistoric dinosaur . . .

Coming from Michigan where our deer run 200lbs or better with small racks I was expecting huge deer in TX based on the racks what a surprise to see pigmy deer with huge antlers LOL.

Yeah, really, as long as their head is big and they've got nice antlers, screw their disproportionate bodies
