Speedo problem with 2000 F-150, PLEASE HELP!
Ok here is my problem. I have a 2000 F-150. I put 33/12.5/17 tires on my stock 17 rims. I changed my gears from 3.55 to 4.10. My speedo now reads approx 7mph faster then I am realy going. I do not have a speedo gear in my trans. I have to have it done by the computer. Does anyone know if Ford will do this? I have heard story's that say they will do if for a tire change but not for a tire and gear change. That will su*k big time! This also means that I am putting more miles on my truck. Has anyone come across this problem before. And can I get it fixed? Thanks in advance.

Since you have a Superchip installed, reprogramming the Truck computer will be futile. The chip takes over for the internal ROM. You may want to talk to Mike T. on the computer forum to see what he can do for you.
