rear diff swap

anybody know if a 1990 f150 rear will bolt up in a 1999 f150 springs and shocks anyhow? thanks scottie

u don't know or you have seen the shocks are in a different spot?

I know the driveshaft will need changed and the leaf springs would mount right up just wasn't sure about the shock location

Are you talking 8.8" rear ends in both cases? I would doubt that even if they are the same 8.8 rear ends, the mounting posts on them would be completely different... Reason.. Totally different generations of trucks..

Your 1990 gen went thru 1996 and in 1997, the F150 totally changed in it's design, so nothing really will just "bolt up" in the sense of the term... Sure, you can make anything fit anything, but it ain't gonna be a "plug and play" type of deal between generations..

trucks a 1999 f150 rear is a dana 60 from a 1990 f250. dana bolts up to 1999 leaf springs fine and driveshaft fits. I do have to connect the brake hose yet and shock mounts I have to move to rear of housing. looks good.

i would like to get 5x5.5 lug pattern on front with a caliper that will clear a 15 inch wheel keep u posted. trucks getting a 429/c6 also in a few months
