Pinion shaft. Started on replacing the rear axle seal on 01 f150. Needed to turn axle to get to the C clips. must have already moved something because when I tried to replace pinion shaft it would not go in. How do you get it lined back up?

Can you push in a screwdriver and move it around to align everything?
