how much to build 5.4
 

Hey guys new to this forum i just bought my dads 2001 f150 5.4 1 month ago and my friend gave me a good deal on his whipple s/c and I'm excited to install it but i want to build my motor up so i could make power without being scared of blowing the engine the engine currently has 281k ive been saving money and so far i have around 5k saved up and im planning to save up about another 5k does that seem enough for a decent engine build im hoping to make about 600whp also the transmission went out 10k miles ago and we installed a 4r100 so im not worried about the tranny any advice helps thanks
