I'm looking to see if anyone has any idea what my issue may be. I recently just got a really nice 2004 FX4 Supercrew.
I went to test out the 4wd and when I turned the dial nothing lit up for the dash. Neither the 4 Hi or 4 Low lit up. So I took it to a graveled spot and had it in 2wd and gave it some gas and I spun as you would expect. Then I backed up and put it in 4 Hi and gave it gas and I took right off with immediate traction. So it seems like the 4wd is actually working. I try and listen to hear the transfer case when I put it in 4wd but it doesn't seem like I can sometimes. This is my first 4wd truck as I'm coming from a 2012 5.0 Mustang. If anyone has any ideas or tips please let me know. I figured I'd ask you guys before taking it to a dealership!
