Sheared my rear driveshaft

I have a 1995 Ford F-150 4x4 5.8L extended cab short bed. Leaving the gas station the other day, not under heavy load, the driveshaft sheared about 3 inches in front of the rear U-joint.

After doing some reading in the forums I found that in order to get a replacement it has to come out of another extended cab short bed in order for the wheelbase and driveshaft lengths to match.

What I couldn't find anywhere is if driveshaft length is the same between pre-97 and 97-03 when wheelbase and cab configuration match. Even if it means swapping slip yokes because I know they went from the BW 1356 to the BW 4406 around that time.

My real reason for needing to know is my local Pick and Pull has exactly two pre-97 trucks, both have bent driveshafts. They have like 7 or 8 97 - 03 trucks.

So, is the newer one usable in my case?
