87 posi rear end
 

ok after listening to the advice about not welding spider gears, decided to go ahead and replace gears. question now is what year will fit in my 87 to make posi trac thx plyrambler

all the 8.8 carriers are pretty much the same on std non IRS like some expeditions. only diff is number of splines on the side gears. some have 28 and some have 31. Are you close to a u-pull it? Welding spider gears (or using a spool) is NOT the same as a posi. rossford

hey thx yes am close to a u pull it. dont kno what an 8.8 carrier is but do know about splines. so can u tell me what mdls will work or can i get gears from another f150 4x4
