I know it sounds a bit odd to be going the other way. I was just really wondering if such could be done. I read alot of people upgrading to the LSD but never found a write up on how to downgrade.

I dont know very much about the rear end in details. This is my thoughts, and i might have this wrong, just going by what i see in difference of the two.

LSD's have a s-spring, and double clutch packs. Not sure if or how many a open has. But going on this thought that a open doesnt have any clutches. Couldnt you simply removed the s-spring and clutch packs out of a LSD and turn it into an open. Or is there more to it then that?

Also i have read about some people removing there s-spring, and it still works as a LSD.

Just trying to learn a little bit more about the two and how they are different as far as part wise, i get the basic of how they work, just kinda wanted a broke down between the two and see if there could "simply" be changed over form one to another with little to no parts.
