FlUiDs---Transfer case, power steering

I just want to confirm some things on fluids. According to the owner's manual, the Power Steering AND Transfer Case take MERCON ATF fluid.

I have the 4R70W transmission which requires MERCON V.

SO I have to use MERCON in the power steering and transfer case BUT MERCON V in the transmission. I know you can use one with the other but am unsure which is which. HELP!

Can I use MERCON V in all of them????---DirtySCREW

Yes. Mercon is no longer manufactured. I'd recommend Amsoil in all 3.

Thanks GLC---That's exactly what I'm looking to do. I've already emailed two different Amsoil dealers in my area to get some pricing. Thanks again---DirtySCREW

You can get pricing from the corporate website - dealers are not supposed to discount the product. If you are going to order it, give Galaxy a shout - throw some business to a long-standing member. He'll have it dropshipped right to your door.

Yea, I also saw on the Amsoil site that I can pay like $10 for a 6 month trial period where I can buy the products at wholesale. I'm guessing it's the dealers pricing. I didn't want to have to pay for shipping cause it's gonna be expensive enough is the reason I contacted some local dealers. They haven't contacted me back yet...so we'll see----DirtySCREW

There is a TSB out that explains to use Mercon V anywhere that Mercon was recommended. So you can use Mercon V in your Tranny, T-case and Power Steering.

Thanks JMC----Thats what I plan on doing...if these Amsoil dealers will ever contact me back. I want to save as much $$$ as I can, but if they don't contact me back I may have to give Galaxy a shout.----DirtySCREW
