what gears to get, how much $$$

Hey guys! Brand new to the site. Here's what I have. An '04 Heritage stndard cab 4x4. 4.2L V-6, 5 speed manual. 3.55LS gear. I'm looking at going with a 3" body lift and running 315/75 R16 tires. What gear would you suggest running. I'm guessing 4.10??? Also, what would parts cost me to re-gear. I got the labor covered. Thanks in advance for any help!

Not sure, you may wait for the V-6 guy's to chime in here.

My guess would be 4:10s though.

check here for prices.

4.10 with a manual, 4.56 with an automatic. Those are almost 35 inch tires.

thanks. that's what i was thinking just wanted a second opinion...or third or fourth.

The only reason you don't want 4.56's with a manual is overdrive is 0.8:1 as opposed to 0.7:1 with an auto. This would be pushing highway RPM's up too high.

That makes sense. Thanks for the help!
