there is no upgrade to the front axle, if you intend on staying with the IFS.

is it beneficial either way? to go with IFS or solid axle? i want it to be comfortable on the street being that is where i will drive it most.

you want to stay with the IFS then. IFS was designed to provide better ride/handling quality for on-road driving. off-road, it is obviously inferior to solid axle suspension.
