I have a '03 4.6 and it has open 3.55 in the rear (which is retarded for a 4x4). I was under the impression that the front automatically locked when put into 4x4. I saw a forum talking about an open front differential, and I wondered if my assumptions were wrong. Anybody?

 

You have an open front diff. No one has a locking font diff unless they installed an aftermarket locker
