New guy with diff. question

Hello,
I just purchased the company 95LX from my employer. No issues with 175k on the clock but...I was wondering what type rear end came with these? The door tag indicates a 3.08 and I'm thinking about swapping it for 3.73 or so.

My 69 has a 9" rear but I'm not familiar with newer trucks. Can anyone provide rear end type and advisablility of 3rd member swap?

Thanks for any reply.

I'm not familiar with the tranny in the 95s.
But you want to make sure that you don't put too-short gears in there.

Do you know your OD ratio?
How many RPM are you turning at, say, 60mph?

Some Rangers got the 7.5" rear axle. Click the black Bronco in my signature & look in the 8.8" Axle album - it shows how to read the axle tag.
