reverse cut?

Hey everybody, I have a 03 f150, 4x4, 4.6v8 with 3.31 gears, 265/75/16 tires. I intend to regear in the near future to 3.73, or 3.90. My question is are the front gears reverse cut? The rears are not, correct? My main reson for regearing is mpg, and the fact that there is no bottom end, which I need to pull my 1200 lb boat with. Any help would be great.

thanks, Beas

You are correct that the front gears are reverse cut, and the rears are not. 3.90 isn't an option for gearing for you. I'm personally going with 4.10's that get installed Monday. I would recommend this same set-up. Hope this helps.
