How can I find out my gear ratio?
How can I find out what gear ratio my 2003 Supercrew has? I have looked over the original window sticker and it has no mention of it? Is there a place I can enter my VIN number and it tell me more about the vehicle.

It's not encoded in the VIN.
Look on your door label for the AXLE CODE.
The see the following chart:
l 18 — 3.08, non-limited slip
l 19 — 3.55, non-limited slip
l 26 — 3.73, non-limited slip
l 27 — 3.31, non-limited slip
l H9 — 3.55, limited slip
l B6 — 3.73, limited slip

Now according to your chart I have 3:73 gears which I knew, but your chart tells me I have a non limited slip which is new news to me. If I have a open rear diff then how come I can throw doughnuts on wet pavement and kill posi in the mud??? I asked the guy that owned it before me and he didn't touch the rear diff. So is this chart inaccurate or do fords open rear diffs still lock in both rear wheels?
