Need help quick!
I don't exactly know where to post this so I'll just do it here. I have lost the one and only key to my 2000 F-150. I can't find it anywhere. I can get into the truck without a key (it looks a little wierd to see me in the bed of my truck trying to get in through the back window), but I obviously can't start it. What should I do? My guess is changing the ignition cylinder... am I right? Then I'd have to program the key to work with my truck. If I'm right, how do I do this? If I'm wrong what do I need to do? Please help!

Lost Key
You should have recieved a tag with a number on it when you purchaced the truck. With that number any dealer can make you a key.

Well, I didn't buy the truck new... I bought it used with ONE key and nothing else... just a truck and a key and a fob. That's all. I got this all taken care of anyway. Not only that, but I got my damned keys back after I payed the 170 bucks to have the truck key replaced. Some one found them (some one that I see almost everyday) and they didn't bother to tell me (or anyone) they found them.

Call the dealer and ask what to do?

I'm done... that's what I'm trying to say. Come on!
