E-Series van conversion
 

I always kind of liked the look of the H-D Edition F-150, so I dig this E-Series van conversion... Even if I don't know how useful the bed will be. Of course, the Whipple supercharger doesn't hurt anything. Check out more pics and info here.

Would've been marginally better if it has a 7.3l PSD.

Don't know if I'd call it ugly or not but it's certainly different and without any purpose. I'm sure we've all seen the old vans that were converted to look kinda like this one but they were converted to pull a 5th wheel camper. Obviously, you can't pull crap with this one unless it's on a ball hitch hanging off of the rear bumper. Here you have all of this supercharged V10 and nothing to do with it but burn tires up. Sad. The company that made this thing must be from Kalifornia. Only a company out of Kalifornia would be dim enough to make something like this. Too bad, it's a bad answer to a question nobody asked. Having driven a van modded up like this but for 5th wheel pulling, it rides better than you can imagine. The one I drove was the E350 and rode better than my Lincoln and super quiet. KInda nice having a frig in the cab too. Keeps the ....uh...water, yeah, water cold for a refreshing drink while keeping on the road. Maybe if this truck had a different paint scheme it might get better but it still comes down to it has no identity or purpose. But I'm sure someone, somewhere will over pay for the privilege to own it.
Now something I'd like to see and get to see the numbers on it is a diesel hybrid in something like an Explorer. Doesn't take much diesel engine to pull an alternator big enough to keep up with the demands that the larger vehicle will have. I can see where a 3 cylinder diesel might be just the ticket with a long stroke for a cleaner engine and more torque. Fuel mileage should be impressive too. I'm surprised it hasn't already been offered. I've thought about building one myself but lack the funds for making such an engine. The electric motors shouldn't be an issue and neither should the lithium batteries. Might even consider solar panels on top but those things get mighty hot when under full sun. I have some experience with the Winston School Solar Car racing. If you ever get a chance to see them run, it's incredible. NO fuel, only a 12V battery and solar collectors. Most of the USA teams can run all day long at 45mph using no fuel and no emissions. Just makes a lot of popping noise.

This truck went across the board at Mecums this last weekend. As I recall it brought $30,000 to the owner. Considering what all was on it, probably a good deal for the buyer. But the truck wasn't nearly as good as the posted pics. It needed some TLC.

Tops I'd pay would be $15-18k. Tops.

If there was a 7.3l PSD in that bad boy, then that's a whole 'nother story....

Something like that might be nice for a wheelchair user to pull a fifth wheel or setup with a salt spreader for plow duties
