Will we get the Ranger Raptor in the States?

Because there are rumors it'll only be available overseas... Personally, I think Ford would be crazy not to American buyers the chance to buy this truck, but it's not like manufacturers don't make weird decisions occasionally. Do you think we'll get it?

I have to say yes, but I think they might make us sweat for a little while, ha ha!

Ford seems to be playing this set of cards mighty close to their chest. Not much info out there about the Ranger yet. There was a splash earlier in the week with supposed spy pics but it didn't take much grey matter to see all it was in the pics was an Aussie version of the current model Ranger. There's all kinds of speculation about engine choices from the 3.0 gasser, to the 2.3 EB and the 5 cylinder diesel that comes in the transit, all hooked up to a 10 speed auto. I think the old 3.7 would be a dandy fit myself. Ford is supposed to show it come February as a 2019 model. May be next year before we actually see one at the dealers. In regards to the Raptor version, the dealers here are seeing their full size Raptors sitting with no buyers or even lookers. Might be that trend is over. Not too many folks willing to give up the cushy F150 as a daily driver for one that will go any where including the dentist to put yer teeth back.

It was announced that we are getting the 2.3 eco, which I believe is the same as that used in the mustang, probably with different tuning of course.

If they do decide to do a Ranger Raptor, I think the 2.7 eco V6 would be a logical choice. That's what Ford is putting in the Fusion Sport and the Edge ST. Then again, the 2.7 isn't a lot more powerful than the 2.3.
