Thanks man. I feel lucky for sure. I'll take some pictures when I'm off work.

It's been raining for the last two days so I haven't been able to get a good picture really. I'll take some better ones later.

Gorgeous truck mang! I love the burgundy color...I have the dark grey but the burgundy is def my second favorite :beers:
I also kept the stock rims mounted on my truck because you won't see them on another model and the Heritage's rims are uber cool and rare. They still make the Harley Edition, Platinum, ect. but you wont see another Heritage edition until 2103 and I would care to wager we wont be around then  Thanks again for posting the pics... I love seeing other Heritage Editions that have survived up to this point. |
Clean looking even with 60k miles on it. Congrats on purchase. Just bought mine maybe a month ago with 33k and I absolutely love the truck. definitely wont be doing much to change the look of it.

Hey all! I just bought my 2003 Heritage on Saturday 9/22/13. I was doing research on it because I did not know what I had bought exactly, and google brought me here. Little did I know it was a rare find and the dealer did not know what he had because I got it for 10 grand and only 88k miles!! It runs and looks amazing! It is black on top with the gray on the bottom. It is pretty much stock with a bed topper on it. I have been wanting to buy a truck for the better part of a decade and I finally got some scratch together and bought this one lol! I had no idea what it was until today!

Dealer knew exactly what he had - the book value on that is about 7k.

Great deal. My truck has 42,000 on it and has been garaged when not driven. It is as nice today as the day I bought it new. It's never seen snow or salt and runs like brand new. You got a great deal, we wouldn't sell ours yet but if someone broke my arm, we still wouldn't go under $18,000. May seem overpriced, but availability and condition does drive the price.

Hello people!

She is gorgeous...I have the exact same color. They look like twins but I don't have the cover over the bed. I just had new Bridgestone Dueler A/T installed last week. Great tires by the way but uber expensive. Feels like a whole new truck again. Mine now has 178k on the odometer and it still looks and runs like new.
I had new uppers and lowers put on @ 164k. The parts were really cheap as were the breaks which I did myself. The whole front end not including the tires cost less than $350 bucks in parts. I love Ford and I love American car parts...sooooooo inexpensive. Great truck man super cool! |
Thanks! Lovin' it so far! It has 90K on the odometer, so not too bad in my opinion. It seems to have had 2 previous owners judging by the CarFax report and the purchase agreements that were still in the glove box showed it registered to women both times, so I have a feeling it wasn't used very hard.
Everything on it is nice and tight, i.e. suspension, steering, etc. Even the tailgate is tight, almost like it's never been lowered and there isn't a single scuff anywhere on the factory bedliner! Hopefully it will be a long while before I have to do any actual work on it aside from routine maintenance. I do plan to add a couple things over time, but not so much that it drastically changes the appearance. I ordered a stainless gas door cover that I'll put on, on Thursday. I also plan to get a bull bar for the front, but have to decide on stainless or black. Since they're so damn expensive (for what they are), I have to put extra thought into it. I also plan on getting clear corners to better match the headlights, which, I don't know why they didn't do that to begin with... The only other things I'm debating on visually is plasti-dipping the wheels flat black, but leaving the center cap chrome. Similar to what you see on squad cars and I might change out the pin-strip to something different too, but haven't decided yet. Performance-wise, I'd like to add a K&N Cold Air Intake, but that's about it. All those ideas will probably have to wait until spring or summer though. These 50 below zero wind chills we're getting here tends to keep a person indoors as much as possible! |
Save your money and do a Gotts mod to the stock airbox - just as effective.
|
Gotts mod? I'll have to do some Googling and see what that is. Never heard of it! Thanks for the heads up!
