Exclamation out of warranty door cracks

I went ahead and wrote to the settlement board about the cracks. You can also write them, the address can be found in your waranty book. I have talked to everybody i can find, but all say its in black and white,3 yrs/36000 mi. I work for ford and they won't help me, so you will find deaf ears too. I got all my miles driving to work at ford. So do all of us and yourself a favor and fill out the settlement board app. THANK YOU

Go get 'em Stingray! I don't want to dash your hopes but I tried the so called "dispute resolution board" (DRB)with my 5.4 piston slap though. They sent back what looked to be a generic response that went something like this "Sorry, we have no jurisdication for out-of-warranty claims!" My piston slap was even noted before the warranty ran out. Stil no luck.

On the flip side however, I did end up getting a new engine. I'm not sure if it was the letter to the DRB (doubt it) or it was the constant e-mails to www.ford.com.

My advice to anyone fighting big business is be persistent! Don't let up and they will finally get tired of listening to you. Just make sure you write or talk to everyone then when you think you have talked to everyone you can, find sombody elses ear to bend

Good luck!

Check with your newspapers, TV Stations, etc. See if any of them have a consumer complaint line. It gets their attention when the media starts poking around, especially when there are so many and it's as well documented as this one is.

Just my thoughts. Good Luck.
