Lower grill insert doesn't fit with aftermarket bumper.
 

I recently had a small fender bender with my 08 F150. The chrome front bumper what's damaged and needed to be replaced. The Body Shop got an aftermarket chrome bumper and installed it and ordered the lower grill insert that goes behind the license plate bracket and it doesn't fit. The hole in the aftermarket bumper is smaller than the factory bumper. They do not make an aftermarket lower Grill to fit in the hole. Is there a workaround for this or is anyone run across this. I tried to get the body shop just to get me a used bumper, but it's Caliber Collision and they've got weird rules about who they're allowed to buy from. I see about a thousand of them in perfect condition online but they're not allowed to buy any of those and put it on my truck. I'm wondering what to do because it looks terrible looking straight at the AC condenser. Plus I think it will not deflect any gravel or stones or anything that flies off the road like the grill would.
