1998 third door won't open.
 

I have just purchased a 1998 F150 XL. The rear door on the passenger side will not open. I was told there is a cable that runs inside the door to unlatch it. Does anyone have any ideas concerning this problem?

The rear doors latches quit working on my 2002 scab twice. It was the cable ends that broke on both doors both times. I replaced the cabel assembly with Ford parts the first time for about $200 doing the work my self. Second time I found out about the aluminum ends that can replace the rubber cable ends to hopefully fix them permanently. See video Take the inside panels off and you should be able to pull the cable and unlatch the door.
