how do i get the window to stop screeching

 

I think i have the same problem. when the window goes down something is screeching on the glass only when it is dry. It is probably just weather stripping being dirty. Has anyone fixed this annoying noise? or have any ideas for a fix?

 

I had a 94 F150 Supercab that the passenger window would screech real loud when closing only. It would be worse in the winter than the summer. I took the door panel off, but could not find out what was causing it. I lived with that noise for years then traded it for a 2007 Screw. Sorry i couldn't help.

 

I had the same problem! I took the whole door apart and cleaned all the weather stripping and window track then lubed everything with a silicone spray lube. Three months now and all is well ??????????

X2 CRC Heavy duty silicone Marine grade. Lower window apply liberally in the track at the top of the window.

 

Mine squeak too....But i just thought it was cause it was clean.

 

Mine started by making noise then started to actually move slower as it went up. I realigned the glass in the tracks and it solved the window dragging issue. I used a lithium grease on the tracks and that solved the noise problem.

I could see where the plastic sliders gad worn a groove in the alum track so I think that was the cause of the noise
