Angry RUST!! OH NO!!!

I just bought a beautifull Pacific Green F150, XLT, Ext. Cab, Flareside. Looks great! Didn't notice that rust was forming on the bottom of all the doors and on the bottom seam of the tailgate. Immediately I went to my local un-coating specialist and got the whole truck sprayed. He recommended returning in the fall and then under-oiling the truck yearly. My question is....is this only going to slow it down or will this stop the process, I hope to keep the truck for about seven years and I HATE rust....GGRRRR!
Should I look at getting rid of the rust & how or just keep treating it with rust inhibitors!!!

One more note....the guy at the oil spray shop agrees. If we all love and spend ssooo much money on the trucks, why doesn't everyone spend the $70 (CDN) per year to get their vehicles sprayed. It really saves them!! Before buying this truck, I had a 1989 Pontiac Grand Prix and a 1990 Taurus SHO, all with NO rust because I oil the heck out of them every year. I also live in road salt plastered ontario, Canada.

I undercoated my truck (rubberized coating)despite the fact that I live in central Alabama/Georgia where there is no salt on the roads (and no real winter). The cost was around $55.00. It is fully protected and the slight noise reduction was nice.

I use to live in Wisconsin for most of my life..and every vehicle I had (that was not undercoated) would have sever rust under the chassis or along the bottom of the doors. It is heart breaking to buy a new vehicle..and only a few winters later have rust in many places.
