JL audio system
Hey guys,
I stumbled upon this system implementation from JL Audio's web site......I think I am going to do it. But I am going to use 2 10w6's in the subbox.net box.

Nice system, BigEd. I have a couple of questions for you.
1) How did you make the holes in the door panel for your tweets without ruining the finish?
2) Are those 4 or 8 ohm subs? Are they in series or parallel to the 500/1? Does your amp get hot? How do those subs sound?
3) What guage power wire did you use???
4) Where did you get your Diamond Audio stuff? Online?
Thanks, in advance, for your help...

hey
here goes
1) How did you make the holes in the door panel for your tweets without ruining the finish? Paid the guy at the stereo shop he used a hole saw no big deal
2) Are those 4 or 8 ohm subs? 4 ohm Are they in series or parallel to the 500/1? the coils are in series and the 2 speakers are in parallel to the amp that is how JL recommends it to keep it at 4 ohm Does your amp get hot?it is behind the seat so i have no idea but i dont play it that hard all of the time How do those subs sound? they rock!!!
3) What guage power wire did you use???2 separate 4 gauge wires and separate 50 amp fuses
4) Where did you get your Diamond Audio stuff? Online? online i contacted a guy off ebay and bought them that way i went to my local dealer and he would not match the price oh well they sound just as good for less money
Do you have any problems with your alternator?not so far but i suspect the system will take its toll Does it put out enough power with your current audio system?so far so good the needle does not drop even when i am playing it hard
thanks
