CD player doesn't full random
 

I have a 97 f150 with the 6 disc changer seperate from the stereo. The Audio Guide reads:

"The shuffle feature works while in CD play mode and allows you to listen to randomly selected tracks on one ar all CDs loaded in the changer."
"Press the Shuffle control to listen to the tracks on the current CD(s) in random order."

This feature only operates randomly on one CD at a time on my stereo. Is this normal or is there something I'm missing? The Ford service adviser said that it should random on all six CDs, but doesn't know how. I really don't want to take it in and be charged $60 an hour to find out this is normal.

AFAIK it will only shuffle one disc at a time. I think when it finishes one it moves on to the next.
