Question 2004 Ford Expedition Subwoofer POP + Advice Request

I recently bought a 2004 Expedition from my uncle and installed an aftermarket head unit. I am experiencing this popping sound from my subs, which I know can be fixed with a voltage regulator. One of the subs actually appears to have blown and makes a constant buzzing noise that is extremely annoying. Since the subs are so old and don't sound very good, and don't really put out the punch I'm looking for, I was planning to replace them anyway, so the driver side sub blowing isn't that big of a deal.

My question is: If I replace the subs, will that alone fix the popping sound, or will I still need to install a voltage regulator? And, should I also replace the subwoofer amplifiers as well?

Also, if anyone has recommendations on what subs and amps I should replace the old ones with, that info would be greatly appreciated! I'm not sure which subs I will replace the old ones with, but I really liked my old Kicker 10" subs that I had in my Dodge Ram. Also considering Pioneer, since my head unit is a Pioneer. And if I were to go with the Pioneer subs, should I also go with Pioneer door speakers, when I evenutally replace those later on, or does matching brands not really matter?

Thanks in advance to anyone who replies. Below are some links to subs I was looking at. No idea which amps to get, or what the correct wattage and ohms are needed either.

What aftermarket stereo did you install? The voltage regulator is built into the alternator and shouldn't be the issue. The popping is caused by the turn on circuit from the deck IE blue wire.
What amplifier is pushing the subs? One of those two items is causing the popping noise when you turn it on not the alternator or regulator within the alternator.
