Sorry to resurrect this thread, but i can't seem to find info on how to do this properly on a 2001. It has a solenoid of some sort on the firewall that the alternator feeds into, then a has a smaller gauge wire with a fuse able link that goes to the battery. but this wire is attached to the solenoid (or whatever it is) with a Y connector. Anyone know anything about this? TIA
