Best Do-It-Yourself bedliner?
 

Whats the best do-it-yourself bedliner? Like all-purpose type stuff. I know line-x but I need the do-it-yourself stuff.

My favorite DIY bedliner is the BedRug. :D

i helped a buddy do a herculiner. it turned out pretty well i thought.

Herculiner, just make sure you take your time with the prep.

They all seem like lots of work. Sanding the entire bed, clean up, drying time, taping and other misc. prep.

I got my Line-X installed for $375.00. Lifetime warranty.

How much is your time worth?

Plus I think any professional spray-in liner looks much better, especially if your rolling or brushing it on. If your spraying it that adds to the prep. time. My buddy sprayed a DIY kit on the floorboard of his Jeep. He masked the vehicle but the overspray was everywhere and a bear to remove. It coated his floor, work bench, air compressor, hoses etc... Not to mention cleaning up your gun. If your going to do it yourself take the time up front and prep. prep. prep. Good luck!

I vote on raptor liner. But since it is a spray on, mask the WHOLE truck. I ran out of painters plastic and didn't mask off the the front fenders and hood, this simple mistake cost me about 2 hours of me standing out there clay barring the truck. It's only been a week so i haven't put anything back there, but the finished product looks amazing!

Duplacolor has one looks not bad seen it on Gears.

My truck had some sort of DIY bedliner in it when I bought it. It will not stand up to anything it is all peeling off and anything I slide in the bed tears the liner all up. I would seriously look into line-x before you DIY.

I did a herculiner this summer. i didn't sand down the bed very well so i had spots where it started peeling. i just peeled it back some and did more sanding. it didn't turn out very thick. the gallon said it will do a 6.5' bed and i have a 5.5' bed and it wasn't thick enough for me. i order two more quarts. and once those were on it was pretty thick. i would say let it dry for a week before putting anything it in. i put some metal in the back after 3 days and it peeled some off. after recoating i didn't have to put anything in for a month. then put one of those chest freezers in and slid it across the back. no peeling. works perfect..just gotta remember prep well and drying time.

Just save you money and get LineX.

its more or less your choice. most of them seem to hold up if enough prep is used. but if your gunna save your money and want a really good bedliner why not just go big and get rhino lining. my mother got it and it was little expensive but haven't had any problem at all.

I think that the difference in rhino and Linex is preference AND Warranties.
Linex is a little more pricey but has a LIFETIME warranty. I believe it is a better product over rhino.
I will only put linex on my vehicles. But its my personal preference.

Been around stuff simular to this for a long time now, I would say your best bet is U-pol raptor if you have a compressor. It is a spray in bed liner and you can really control the amount you apply just by air pressur. The kit comes with a spray gun and the bottles attach right to the gun. I get my supply from a local paint dealer (ask anyone who works in a body shop to refer you to one (no sherman williams) if this is the route you chose, i got my get for 100 and say another 20 buck for some red brillow pads to prep the truck. The cool think is you can also get a kit to change the color though have not tried this one yet. If you have any question pm me.
