Winch finally installed!

I finally got my winch installed! Here's some pics for ya!

This was the first attempt. It fell several times:

That was a pain to get up there... Pulled the truck on blocks, put the winch on bricks, backed down a little, pushed back the bricks, backed down some more, pushed bricks back, etc... then I used the blocks to support the jacks

That little tab held up my PA... until I moved it and it broke off one day, lol.

The high-pressure line is in the way, but allows it to be engaged all the time, so I just have to power-out and power-in.

And proof it works

That is so cool, did you make the plate yourself? I always wanted to put a winch in the same place but am worried about my grille guard being in the way.

Not something you use all the time.........Worth every penny when you need it. They can also be a money maker or bragging rights!

Nice job.

Nice job, i feel you about the pain in the *** holding it up. I had to sit on some wood and hold mine with a bench I had. Have you tried sideways/up or down pulls yet with the grill guard?

Wow. sounds like you had the same problems I did. Yeah I had to pull myself out of that one hole at about at a 30 degree side angle to the right. It pulled right out. The winch barely fits up in there but hey it does fit. If I put a bigger one in I'll just have to take a grinder to the bumper bracket and make room for it

and I don't know what happened to my pictures. I cant see them anymore hmmmm

Nice work, did you make the plate or buy one that is already out there and drill to fit? What winch is that as well?

It looks like a SmittyBilt XRC8 and a customized winch plate.
