Could I adapt a 09 f150 bullbar to fit my 97?

Its an aries bull bar and here it is in a craigslist ad
http://indianapolis.craigslist.org/pts/2796360228.html
Thought it was a pretty good price and would like to get it for my truck. Not sure if it would fit though.

It can be done but it most likely definitely wouldn't be easy without some custom fabbing. You'd need to figure out what the difference is between the distance on the frame rails for both trucks, compare how both mount (ones for your truck and then that one), and then most likely make some new brackets and weld them to the bull bar.

alrighty thanks pizzaman. Probably won't be doing that then but if anybody has an 09 thats a pretty good deal if you can get the guy to ship it to you.

If you had access to a welder it would be a fairly easy swap honestly.

Yup, as long as you can weld and get some metal stock to make new brackets or take a grinder and cut the old ones off and reweld them on it could be done.

u may even be able to just make brackets and bolt it together, i bought a bull bar from one of the local parts stores and made it work on my 97 fairly easily. The store owner thought mabey it was for a escape, not that ive seen bull bars on them

Not sure about this brand but on a lot of the bull bars the bars are all the same size it's just the mounting brackets that are different so all you might need is a different bracket
