Good morning sir!

Please be wary of such claims.

Fans are rated against specific static pressure drops.

Hence, a cheap fan such as the Procomp, with a small cheaply made motor, may indeed approach high cfm's @ 0 psi, but in actual use, mounted against a rad in a truck where the drop is far higher under load, it will likely not perform well at all.

Look at the $200 SPAL fan - see the difference?

==> http://www.spalusa.com/pdf/30102803_SPEC.PDF#view=FitH

Notice the cfm's versus static pressure - notice the current draw - notice the IP68 sealed motor - this is a truly excellent fan of the highest quality - the only kind of quality that belongs in yer truck. OEM Mk VIII / Taurus / LT1 / LS1 fans all exhibit these traits. Because they need to be bulletproof as well as actually move the immense quantity of air required for proper cooling under ALL conditions.

The quality of this hi-perf SPAL Extreme fan is worlds apart for the Procomp unit.

You may wish to ask yourself - which fan would you trust in a daily driver in any/all conditions?

Also - peruse this site for some additional info & excellent hardware: http://www.spalusa.com/store/main.aspx

Like most things in life, you get what you pay for.

I hope I was able to assist you in some small way. If not, please accept my apology.

Also, I hope you don't take my directness above as being harsh - I am quite passionate about this topic because it is important to do this the right way. Thanks in advance for your understanding.

Good luck & take care, now...

Cheers & bests

Never heard of the Comps.

Yeah I just saw that, I responded in the other thread. Little late for me to be in on a group buy since I already purchased. If Brian says he would be interested you would need to figure out how to get this site to allow it. Then I had a thread ( https://www.f150online.com/forums/ot...yer-e-fan.html ) that had a lot of people interested in doing a group buy for the Troyer kit, you can see if they want to do a group buy for this kit/setup instead.
