Troyer E-Fan
I'm looking into getting Troyer E-fan kit for my truck. Does anyone have any input or advice. Does this kit hold up pretty well overall?

I also would like up dates on the Troyer E-fan kit. I read that there was some problems like the controler or some thing like that, but I read that they are using diffrent controlers now. I'm still deciding to buy it or not.

i think they have worked everything out, i installed mine in june and have not had any problems what so ever, i see your in spokane, im in seattle and have driven through some big puddles and a bunch of rain and everything is fine.
im really picky about looks too so i have everything wrapped in the wire loom and electrical taped. i with out a doubt would say buy now, i think troyer customer service is pretty good so im not worried about anything. i ordered UD pulleys, e-fans and headers from theme |

Does make a whole lot difference?

i JUST finished installing it...its easy to install, and Im not sure if my clutch fan was seized beforehand, when I would step on it my engine would feel like it had a load on it, but it made a TON of difference...such a great investment! I am not sure about durability you can mark todays date and I'll see how long it goes till something pops. So far I am LOVING it.
edit: tomorrow I will take some pictures. |

I installed a set on mine in July. I did not wire as per instructions. I used all weather proof connecters. I also mounted the controllers in a weather proof enclosure. I remote mounted weather proof relays so no high current runs thru the controllers. Posted pics in my album.
So far so good. Fans work great. |
I have had mine in since august I think. I like them. The vegas heat didn't tax the A/C nearly as much and I could idle all day and have nice cold AC without haveing the truck above idle. Great investment, and if ford is putting them in the 2010's.... There must not to be too bad a mod.

I had my Troyer E Fan kit installed in June. NO problems at all! It was nice to have this for the summer. The A/C is nice and COLD now!!!! They did have issues with their controllers, but they took care of that a while back. I also have a manual override switch installed should the controllers ever go bad. Go for it!

not hard to install at all. hardest part for me was getting the stock fan out because i didnt have the fan clutch wrench set to uninstall it.
