My truck is almost complete, so I though I would post some pics in the official "Blackout Trucks" thread. This is the thread which got me motivated to work on mine again and I am glad to be an official member of the club!!!

I haven't been on in quite a while but here are a few more pics.. need to get new "clean" pics posted. lol It has a black third brakelight, black nerf bars and the bottom pic was before the 2.5" HBS leveling kit.
I did mine kinda different than everyone else LOL I used "Ooops" to remove the black lettering. then used my Patriot decals (didnt like the color I got) then sprayed em with adhesion promoter then blacked em. Took off the Patriot decals and cleared em. So now I have black badges with chrom lettering :D https://www.f150online.com/forums/me...1-emblem-1.jpg https://www.f150online.com/forums/me...l-lights-1.jpg https://www.f150online.com/forums/me...ture4172-a.jpg sorry for typos Im dead tired :( |

Your trucks look awesome. I have a 02 Black Supercrew, no lift. Wanting to possibly put lift on it. But, I want it to still fit in garage. So... Do either one of you hvae lifts on your trucks? and What is the overall height of your truck? From ground to the heighest point (probably back of cab). Let's just say I've also used NightShades, bu I would never have done that to my truck. - NCSU |

To me it just looks odd that the front is all matte black, and the rest of your truck is shiny gray. The rest of it looks good though  back atcha! - NCSU |

Thanks man. Maybe if you were to get a nice coat of clear on everything up front it might look better.

Question: Am I the only one who takes pics of his truck after every wash? :o http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e2...o/DSCF0076.jpg http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e2...o/DSCF0068.jpg http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e2...o/DSCF0075.jpg http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e2...o/DSCF0063.jpg |

Working on it. Not a lot out for the 09s to help a guy out. Raptor heads and tails are in the future, along with tinted windows and gloss pillars. Might black or grey out my two ford emblems too. Oh I know someone will ask about tires and such so: 2.5" autospring level, 18x9s w/5.71" backspacing, 35x12.50R18 Toyo M/Ts, no trimming, no rubbing except backing up at 3/4 turn sometimes.

What's done so far... Still want to do the nameplates black, get black wheels, and maybe do the exhaust tips black as well.

I love the AFE it sounds great with the flowmaster, and gives me some good throttle response....Much better than a K&N IMO
|
Cool. We sell them at work but I haven't really heard any feedback on them.
|
I would definitely recommend AFE to anyone.....
