Lucky!,

Sounds Great, I just missed out on that group buy, now I have to spend alot more

Glad to hear your happy with them, how was the install as I am lookin at the Jusnes kit as well as the Troyer one and I am wondering if the Troyer kit is worth the extra cash or if they are more or less the same.

Thanks!!

From what I was told from Jusnes is the fans are the same as Troyers, check out my pics and then look on TP's site they look the same to me, the install was not to bad, I think the part that takes the longest is where to put the controlers, after that its all cake!

Sweet,

Thanks for the info!! what additional parts, if any, were needed to complete the install? On Jusnes web site it says that you may need additional parts /connectors or wire.

Do you like the controllers? are they protected from the elements?

Does the kit seem pretty heavy duty / durable?

Thanks Matt!!

I like your gallery, sweet truck! Oh, the fans look great too!!

I had to get a fan clutch removal kit, I had a lot of conectors, and If you want to add LED's to show that the fans are on thats all not in the kit, " the LED's and wire cost me 11 bucks" as for the controlers they look good to me I have them on the windshield washer reservoir, since the install I have been in heavy rain and I checked at a gas station and they were dry. I think you cant go wrong with either kit,

Just ordered my e-fan kit today from Troyers , it shipped today can't wait to get it.

Jusnes doesn't have a telephone number on their web site so I was not able to contact them prior to making my decision to buy.

Crystal at Troyers was very helpful and even gave me a little discount for being an F150 Online member.

I hear you, If I hadn't missed the group buy by a couple of days I'd be enjoying my Jusnes Fan kit right now especially at the great price you got.

Anyways, I still can't wait for the Troyer Kit, I also wanted to send some of my business their way.

Should have them installed by next Saturday

bringing this back from the dead....

can someone explain the difference between the diff brands?

Is E-fans the brand? and troyers, etc different retailers selling it?

sounds like there are several different options.

My A/C is not running to it's potential and someone suggested looking into an E-fan.

Need some help. thanks.

Hi.

The term "e-fans" is slang for electric fans.

you have a ton of options ( partial list):

> Troyer Performance dual fan kits (16" preferred), fans, controllers
> FAL 27x, kit
> Jusnes Modified kit
> MAD Enterprises components or kit ( fan, shroud, controller)
> homebrew - buys fan(s), controller(s) & hook 'em up yourself
> Motorcraft RF86 18" fan
> SPAL controller (soft start), SPAL fans
> DCControl controller (soft start)
> etc, etc

Things to consider (partial list):

> redundancy - two fans, two separate controllers in case one fails
> CFM - do not skimp on capacity or you may overheat
> fan mounting methods - some have had rad core leaks
> reliability of add-on efans versus factory mechanical fan
> add just a helper fan for the A/C condenser; keep the mech fan
> your skill level - this is not for the sqeamish or auto electrical n00b
> warranty implications ( as in denial of same if you have a problem)
> fan quality - Derale & Motorcraft fans are proven quality - others --> ???

As for difference among all the offerings -well:
- They all blow/suck air (sometimes even more air than the stock fan LOL! - but not always).
- They all eliminate the parasitic loss of the stock mech fan.
- They all require robust wiring and exemplary installation practices to be reliable enough for daily driver use.
- They have varying controller types/quality.
- They have different mounting systems
- They vary widely in price

Do some more research - there is a pile of info on his site w.r.t e-fans....

Cheers

Just curious but what is the approx cfm of the stock fan? compared to the aftermarket setups?

Hi.

That, buddy is the question. Believe me, I've looked. I can't find one single consistently reliable solid figure, so I have only inferences to go on. Example: the TP kit and the MAD kit both run around ~5,000 cfm. Both keep the vehicle properly cooled in all conditions. So, the stock fan has to be at least that rating. I've heard it's even higher at high rpms - as much as 8,000 cfm. Hmmm.

A point I forgot - remember that at speeds above 40 mph or so ( and certainly at highway speeds), none of the fan assist is really required as the ambient flow is enough to satisfy all cooling needs. Stop & go or slow crawl is a different story, of course.

Based upon that, before you go to the dealer (saw your other post) check to see what your a/c cooling is like on the highway. If it's cold enough for you, then perhaps there is no problem except adequate airflow at low speeds & an efan setup will help.

FYI - remember as well, there have been some posts stating that the system (condenser/evap) is undersized for this application (no larger than the previous generation truck), but as in the case of the Supercrew, the vehicle is substantally larger in cab volume & window glass area. Allegedly the next gen will address this issue.

Good luck.

cheers

yeah I have taken a trip to cali 300mi each way. I was never cold from the A/C

I am beginning to think that it's either not charged properly or just undersized. and adding a fan to the condensor may be my only chance other than just dealing with it.
