Awesome find, thanks. Now to figure out where a couple of plugs would need to go.

Any progress on the installation? What wiring changes are required for the upgrade? I am looking at getting the nav pieces to replace my 11 Lariat's Sony 6 CD unit, but am not sure if new wiring and the connectors are needed.

Wow, do I really have to do all that on an XLT also?

It's amazing how much effort these engineers put into making it harder to change or something as simple as a stereo... All the new cars you gotta disassemble 1/2 the car just to change the radio, I mean c'mon ..

Has any body figured out what to do with the different plugs for the ac and heater controls?

I too tried to upgrade from OEM 6 disc to OEM NAV and got everything off a total loss F150 with navigation, but the plugs for the heater/AC controls are different than my heater/ac controls

The two plugs that attach to the bezel are for the HVAC controller which is on the bezel for the non-nav. There is a different HVAC controller for the nav that is located under the dash tray on top of the dash. Needless to say the connectors and wiring arrangement are different. I am going to make a jumper cable to allow the Nav cables to just plug into the non-nav connectors. I will be going to an automobile audio store to try and find the male connectors needed.

The problem is from what I understand is the NAV radio's are almost impossible to get, what supply they have is going into the production line vehicals.

IF you could get one ordered, the radio and bezel will likely cost about $3,000-$4,000.

wiring that doesn't exist on the truck is a showstopper too.

In addition to the wiring jumpers from the nav HVAC controller to the wiring harness from the non-nav HVAC controller it appears that four wires will have to be added. Two of the wires plus a shield go between the radio (ACU) and the SYNC module. Two wire plus a shield go between the radio and the audio digital signal processing module which is located on the floor under the flow-thru console. A third wire between the radio and the ADSP will have to be relocated to a different PIN in the connector at the radio. Connector 2123 which goes to the display may also have to have a couple wires modified. I haven't finished researching this. Seeing that new wires go to the SYNC module may indicate a different SYNC module will be needed. More to come.

Did anybody figured out how to connect the HVAC/EATC module on a non NAV dash?
I just made the swap of a OEM NAV radio with it's bezel & control modules from a Lariat to my 2011 FX4. The radio and the NAV is already working great. My next step is to have the new automatic HVAC working properly. I understand that the HVAC conncectors aren't the same and need new wiring in order to connect to the new EATC module. Anyone have some clue on how to connect this new wiring?
Thank's for helping,

The DEATC HVAC with the Nav uses a different module than the standard DEATC. The module fits in the dash where the standard interface display is located. The Nav display shows all the information making the small disply at the top of the dash unneeded. This module has two connectors that you can make a jumper for that will tie-in the main wiring harness. I do have a sketch of the overall wiring changes and the jumpers. I'll have to scan them and can email them to you.

Yes, that's what I have figured out. The 6 CD's Sony EMTC Bezel module was replaced by a remote DATC under the top dash. Both have 2x 26 pins plugs and according to the wiring diagram, all terminals have to be remapped from C294A & C294B EMTC connector to the DATC C226A & C226B plugs. What is helping, old & new wiring seem to have all same color code for same wire description. Only thing, the DACT module for the auto HVAC have 9 more wires that need to be configured that are non existing on the manual HVAC.
To avoid splicing, it would be a lot easier if 26 pins Male plugs were available to fit directly on the existing C294A & C294B EMTC Female connectors rerouted to the DATC C226A & C226B wires. Didn't found anything on Metra?

For those who this may help, I have made below a resume of the wiring pin out of the manual HVAC EMTC module & the Auto HVAC DATC module.
Line sequence is as followed: Wire Description, Pin#, Connector#, Wire color.
As I said, there are 9 more terminals on plug C226B from the DATC that are non existing on the EMTC that have to be rerouted (sunload, heated seats & HVAC temp door. At this time, I am trying to find a donor for those missing modules. Good thing that I already have this expensive DATC module. Other modules don't seem to be much expensive from dealer.

New hard drive Ford OEM nav unit

To install the self contained Ford OEM nav unit (same as a 2012 Super Duty) we have developed a complete kit. It requires custom mounting brackets, special programming per your vin "as built data', matching bezel, 2 tee harnesses to plug into your 24 pin and 16 pin exisitng connectors, antenna splitter (uses your exisitng Sirius antenna for GPS and Sirius), steering wheel control, and rear camera patch cable. It is a complete kit and can be found here.

Just get a Kenwood DNX890HD and don't look back. I think I paid $900 on Amazon. Add the iDatalink Maestro RR if you want to keep Sync. The Nav built into these units kills OEM. Just an opinion, of course.
