2011 F150 Adding Aftermarket NAV (Double Din)

It was rather simple actually, I cut the wrap out slightly larger than the bezel, I then started to apply it to the top and slowly downward, Once I got to a hole I just cut it out leaving a few inches to stick to the inside lip. the hardest part was the bottom with the odd shape, it took some time to get the bubbles out, but I used soappy water on the plastic so they worked out nicely,

About to add nav to mine, where did you get your carbon fiber wrap? Is it like the stuff from auto zone? Just a film with adhesive on back? Or like a cloth like real carbon fiber? Looks good btw!

I should be picking up my new 2011 Lariat this week! Adam74 i have a Z130bt as well...do you like the sync rather then the pioneer bluetooth?? i was thinking of totally disabling sync and using the aux in/usb to connect the z130bt ipod cable to? not sure if this is possible cause I dont know what the back of the sync connectors look like yet

I stumbled across this thread on Google looking for some information on adding an aftermarket nav system as I just got a new 2011 XLT. My question for those that have done this: Does your Sync system still work with full functionality? I know on my truck some of the controls on the radio control the Sync menu so I was wondering.

here is my install of my z130bt. here is a list of my parts:
axxis xsvi-5520-nav harnesshttp://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0025UDZDM
antenna adapterhttp://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002BEQNE
scosche bezelhttp://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001UCB4R0
aswc steering wheel controlshttp://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004HM86D0
what's cool about the xsvi harnes is that it is already pre wired to plug directly into the aswc steering wheel controls
oh also i unplugged the sync controls and used the holes to wire the z130bt usb/aux cable through so it looks stock!
i'm in the process of contacting Carid.com to get them to make a vinyl wood grain to match the lariat. will have an update in a week or so!

Did you have to make adapters? buy them from somewhere?
I haven't taken the radio out yet so I don't know what it looks like behind the bezel, but I'm hoping to get all the stuff I need before taking it all apart.
I have the steering wheel control adapter, the double din bezel, and I still have to order the wire harness adapter.
Thanks,

All I did was unplug the Sync female adapters and ran my usb/aux cable into the existing holes. I didn't use adapters. The wires are not secure. I would like to see some sort of adapter so the cables wouldn't wiggle around the hole.
here is a link of the cable i'm using. Notice that there is a female and a male USB/aux connection. Where they separate is where I made the connection in the SYNC holeshttp://www.ebay.com/itm/Pioneer-Avic...#ht_997wt_1165

i hooked up the axxess aswc yesterday for my steering wheel controls. I did the auto detect setup method and the vol +, vol -, seek up/next, seek down/prev, source/mode(media), voice recognition buttons automatically worked. The phone hook button was programmed as a "mute" and the "ok" button had no function. I tried going through the remapping instructions to get the phone button to be "on hook" to answer phone calls but was unsuccessful...anyone done this?
