In Dash Nav Recommendations

I have an 06 FX4 with 5.4 Triton that I want to replace the OEM base radio with a Nav/radio unit. I need Ipod interface and want to keep it a simple install. Not looking to break the bank with super high end units. Just something that will pretty much be a plug and play unit and fits the factory opening perfectly....

There are so many choices it's mind boggling. I'm sure there are some reasonably priced units that would be a big upgrade over the OEM unit in there now... Any recommendations would be appreciated. If there is anything else I would need to purchase to do the install please include....

Thanks.....

I'm gonna get this unit from http://www.autodvdgps.com/aftermarke...150-p-908.html

I have been researching and debating on which nav unit to get for the longest time. I like an OEM look and I think that unit has it. For the price, it offers the most features, only thing missing is HD radio(only offers regular AM/FM) and Satellite Radio. Remember its a Chinese manufactured unit, but isn't these days? The link I showed you is a reputable Chinese company that sells them and they sell them for the lowest price on the net, that I could find. There is a guy on Ebay from Canada selling the same unit, but he wants $599 plus $14.95 shipping. The company in the link sells them for $488 with $72.71 DHL shipping. Still cheaper, plus you can choose whatever add on's you want, ie: tv, back up camera, internet. They also offer a 14 full refund and a 1 year warranty on the unit.

If you do order from the Chinese company, I think they are on vacation celebrating their Chinese new year. Once they get back and answer some questions I have, I will be placing my order with them. Good Luck!

Check out the Alpine INA-W900 HU. I have it and it's awesome. The iPod interface is amazing. It starts up really fast too unlike many other Navi HU's out there. The Navi itself is pretty good but sometimes it will be a little bit off on some points of interest. Other than that, it's awesome!!

i got one from the canadian guy, it is on ebay, I am happy with it. The FM tuner is not very strong but I have gotten used to everything and really like it. I can play songs from my Iphone with out plugging it in, if I want. Navagation is good, bluetooth good.
