Well I've browsed and searched but I don't see any units mounted in the way I'm thinking. Not even sure if it's possible but figured I'd poll the forum to see if anyone else has pulled it off. I just ordered a Garmin 255WT and am thinking (if it's possible) of mounting it between the factory cigarette lighter and the button to turn off my backup alarm....And then picking up a separate antenna. I used to have a Sirius radio in that location but didn't care for it so I now have two holes in that spot anyway. Easy view, easy access, and I figure I could kill two birds with one stone by covering up those holes. I want to hide all wires but I don't really want to mount it on my windshield or dash if I can help it. Think it would be distracting for me backlit in the evenings.
