Eclipse AVN5510

I have decided on the Eclipse AVN5510. I will also get the back up camera and bluetooth adapter.

Anyone have anything else which is a good/necessary option? Any tips on install ( I am going to do myself). How did you make the steering wheel controls compatabile?

Thanks

Agreed. Virtually all head units out there are still running 1 bit DAC's which kills the soundstage. Eclipse and Alpine are about the only head units that are multi-bit processing other than the higher end units.

Thats why I finally went with Clarion pro-audio DRZ-9255. I heard "Clarion" and started to laugh until I saw the specs.
Has dual Burr-Brown 24 bit DAC's (one for each stereo channel) separate DC/DC converter module, copper chassis for ground interference.....

At any rate, you'll be happy with the Eclipse. It is a good unit for SQ

I have that head unit. I do not have the back up camera or the bluetooth so I cant help you there. I will say though I love the unit. Only issue im having is that recently the volume up pad is sticking. Probably doesnt help that im always using it and did go offroading and the personally went in the mud then used the head unit. prolly just need to clean it off. But you will def enjoy this head unit. I didnt do the install though so I cant help out technically.

I have one too. One of my favorite things I've done to this truck yet. I'm always getting compliments on it.

For the steering controls you would need a PAC SWI-ECL. Great unit and one of my better selling ones.

If your running amps/amplified system the Bluetooth may not be for you though. It Only connects through high level (speaker line) and has Zero support for the preout section. Theres ways around it, but tends to be a PITA.
