Odometer vs. trip meter

Not sure which forum this belongs in, this one looks on-topic...

My '01 would always show the trip mileage unless I toggled it back to the odometer. I like watching the trip mileage. However, my '06 SCREW will revert back to the odometer after turning the power off for a period of time.

Is there a way to have it stay on the trip meter until I want to see the odometer?

What gauge cluster do you have - the standard or upgraded one (with the message center)?

I don't think you can toggle in between - I have the cluster with the message center - I can show the trip, but the mileage is right underneath it.

I bet I have the standard cluster. It's either odometer or trip. You have to push to button to toggle them. I want to default to the trip like my '01 used to.

Light green background with black numbers? If so, then that is the "standard" gauge cluster. You're owner's manual will show what you have.
