Looking for a navigation system...

Here's the deck I'm looking to get shortly...

I was wondering... Are there any navigation systems that I can plug into that and hide possibly? My friend bought a GPS for his laptop for like $125 or something and works really well. But I'd like something for this. Now mind you this head unit is not touch screen so it'd have to be remote controlled or something. Is there anything? I'm not too familiar with the GPS market these days.

I specifically want this deck for it's SD card slot and the quality of the screen.

Plus I can't justify paying $1600 for one. Buy this one for $500-ish and then add on the GPS unit... If they make one.

I recommend looking into the Valor Multimedia NVG-670WT Double Din Navigation unit. This unit was a big hit at my distributor show a few weeks ago. The Double Din Touch Screen unit features DVD, Navigation (via SD Card), Bluetooth built in, Ipod controller built in, XM ready, and built in TV Tuner with antennas. Excellent unit. Features dual zone so you can view navigation and listen to radio while your rear seat passengers watch the dvd on thier monitor. I have a customer that has purchased the Pioneer Z1 for his vehicle and for his wife's he purchased the Valor piece. She hates his and loves hers...lol

Looking for a navigation system...

meBreezy, If you have a video input on that unit, you can have navigation from a laptop with a video out cable. Then use a wireless mouse or remote to control it. Check out my photo gallery. This is a custom unit I made from a 10" Fujitsu Stylistic touch screen tablet computer. I use a wireless "presentation remote" to control the entire Windows XP system including navigation, mp3's, video files, internet etc...I am actually trying to sell it as I'm trading my truck in for a new one.

XM Ready only-no SIRIUS. Talked to them and in about a week, it will be both, XM and Sirius.

No sorry that does not feature a detachable face. Kinda rare to find a fully detachable face unit that is a monitor anymore. If it does feature one it is only a partial piece that comes off and leaves the rest. Anyone looking at it would know what is in there. Now the Navigator has the handy fold down cover that is great. Wish other cars had that. In my wifes Expedition I chopped the face of the factory radio off and made it so that you could put it over the new unit. Most of the time that never makes it onto the dash and just rides in the center console. Alot of wasted effort making it...lol
