I am hooking up my pioneer N2 and got the speed sensor ( vss ) wire done. but i cannot find the right reverse indicator wire. i saw some people say that it is the black and pink wire in the harness near the parking brake but when i hook up my multimeter to it, it doesnt show any current even when i put it into reverse.... any ideas?

The reverse indicator wire is only for if you hook up a camera ie. rear view cam otherwise it does not need to be hooked up I ask several install shops and each one of them replied the same, I have the Eclipse AVN 5495 unit with same wire and if you want to view video while driving just ground the wire that goes to the parking brake and UR off and running. One other thing about the reverse wire is that some F-150's have a reverse sensor in them it and sounds an audible alarm if you are too close to something from what I understand so like I said see above forget the wire if on ur unit it does not work after u hook up just ground that wire.

Thumbs up

I hooked up the reverse wire for my AVN 5495 in my 06 Lariat Screw. It is the DARK GREEN/ YELLOW STRIPE wire located in the wire bundle beneath the passenger front door sill. Now my reverse camera comes on whenever I back up.

Hi,
Are you using BEC104 ? I was wondering if I can use a cheaper camera available in the market. If so, can you share the information on the 4-pin wire connector for the rear view camera ?
